Hampden & Co appoints Mark Plummer as Head of Private Banking, London
Mark Plummer has joined Hampden & Co as Head of Private Banking for our London office.
One of the most experienced professionals in UK private banking, Mark began his career at Coutts, spending 12 years there before spending a further 13 years at C. Hoare & Co. He joined Barclays Wealth in 2008 as Head of Banking & Credit, before moving to Handelsbanken in 2016 to set up and run its office in Mayfair.
Hampden & Co delivers first full year profit
Hampden & Co delivered its first full year profit in 2022, driven by strong income growth and client service. Total income for the year was £23 million, up 73 per cent year-on-year, with the bank posting a pre-tax profit of £2.0 million. Post-tax, reflecting a deferred tax credit, the bank achieved a profit of £6.9 million.
John Glanville joins London office as Banking Director
John Glanville has joined Hampden & Co as a Banking Director in our London office. He will report to Mark Prentice, Head of Banking, and will work alongside the banking teams in Edinburgh and London.
Hampden & Co in first-of-its-kind £2bn private finance pilot to help landowners restore woodlands
Hampden & Co has joined forces with NatureScot, Scotland’s nature agency, Lombard Odier Investment Managers and global impact firm Palladium in a private finance pilot to help restore Scotland’s native woodlands. The group is targetting landowners in Scotland who are interested in nature restoration and carbon capture programmes through capital investment.
