Simon Miller
Chairman
Simon was appointed Chair of the board in May 2020, having previously helped to found the bank in 2010 under our original name Scoban. Simon is also a senior independent director at STV Group plc and Chair of Bankers Investment Trust. He has previously served as a non-executive director with Adam & Company, non-executive chair at BlackRock North American Income, executive chair of Dunedin Capital, and as chair of Brewin Dolphin. Simon is a Barrister and read law at Cambridge University.

Finlay Williamson
Non-Executive Director
Finlay joined the Board in May 2020 as a non-executive director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. A qualified Chartered Account, Finlay was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Virgin Money plc and a former divisional finance director, head of internal audit, and head of mergers and acquisitions at RBS Group. Finlay was also an independent non-executive director, Chairman of the Risk & Compliance Committee, member of the Audit Committee at Paragon Bank plc, Chairman of the Risk & Compliance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee at Paragon.

Caroline Taylor
Non-Executive Director
Caroline joined the Board in February 2021 as Non-Executive Director and is Chair of the Remuneration Committee. She has more than 25 years’ global executive experience gained in the financial services sector with a background in investment management, including global markets, regulation, and risk management.

David Huntley
Non-Executive Director
David joined the Board in October 2020 as Non-Executive Director and is Chairman of the Risk Committee. A qualified Actuary, David is currently Chair of Scottish Friendly and Fidelity Life Insurance Ltd and chairs the Audit Committee at Fidelity Life Insurance (Ireland) DAC. His former corporate roles included MD of Pearl Life Ltd, CEO of Scottish Re Ltd and CEO of Swiss Re Life and Health Australia.

Kaushalya Somasundaram
Non-Executive Director
Kaushalya Somasundaram joined the Board of Hampden & Co as Non-executive Director in April 2023 and brings deep experience of banking, financial and digital services. Much of her executive career was at HSBC where she established their Fintech Partnerships and Strategic Innovation Investments unit. She has also served in director, consultancy and advisory roles at various leading financial services firms. Kaushalya is a chartered accountant and an MBA.

Angus Macpherson
Non-executive Director
Angus began his corporate finance career with Lazard Brothers and held senior roles at Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and Singapore, latterly as Head of Capital Markets and Financing for the Asian region. He joined investment bank Noble & Co in 2006 and was appointed chief executive in 2007.

Graeme Hartop
Chief Executive
Graeme is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Banker with over 30 years’ experience in the banking industry. He was Head of Finance at Adam & Company before joining Scottish Widows Bank in 1993 as Finance & Operations Director and where he became Managing Director in 2003.

Jonathan Peake
Chief Financial Officer
Jonathan joined Hampden & Co in 2022 from Standard Bank International where he spent more than six years as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for the banking and wealth management businesses with responsibility for £6bn of client deposits and £2.5bn of AUM.

Andrew Bell
Chief Commercial Officer
Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in financial services, starting his career with Lloyds Bank before moving to Coutts, where he helped develop Coutts’ wealth management proposition, becoming Head of Product for the Coutts Group in 2001. In 2004 he co-founded RBS Asset Management, where as Sales and Marketing Director he expanded RBS’s private client investment management business in Europe and Asia.
